Major Bottleneck Studies: The Major Bottleneck Studies are a multi-phase analysis of particular locations which impede the free flow of traffic. In the 2010 phase of the study, three types of bottlenecks (a town center, an arterial corridor, and a limited access highway interchange) were identified as bottlenecks. In 2011, an in-depth analysis was conducted to find potential actions that could reduce congestion. In 2012, the study is being expanded to two additional high-congestion locations within the region.

Flooding on Hayward Street, BridgewaterClimate Change Roadway Drainage and Runoff Study: The Roadway Drainage and Runoff Study built upon the findings of 2010's Climate Change Transportation Impact Study by analyzing the effects of our built environment on stormwater drainage processes. The study focuses on preparing our communities to reduce the amounts of stormwater runoff generated, to improve the quality of water entering our water bodies, and to comply with upcoming EPA stormwater regulations.

Bicycle and Pedestrian Connectivity and Livability Study: The regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Connectivity and Livability Study is intended to establish a strategic vision for improving walking and bicycling opportunities in the Old Colony Region.
