Call to Order/Introductions: Chairman Mary Waldron called the meeting to order at 12:00 PM. Members were asked to introduce themselves.
Minutes of the September 11, 2017 Meeting: Pat Ciaramella moved to accept the minutes of the September 11, 2017 meeting as written, seconded by Jason Hunter. So voted.
MassDevelopment Bond Review: There was none.
Guest Speakers: Update From Seed Corp: Ms. Angela Lapierriere, SEED Business Assistance Manager and Lending Officer and Ms. Lisa Holmes, SEED Senior Vice President and Lending Team Leader presented financing programs for businesses offered by SEED. SEED holds workshops monthly throughout the region. They have a Brockton Business Loan Program offering $1000 to $50,000 micro loans. The interest rate on these loans is 6% and 5% if partnered with a bank. Contact Angela Lapierreire or Lisa Holmes. The SEED website is seedcorp.com. Presentation on Labor Market Information: Mr. Dean Rizzo, Executive Director, South Shore Workforce Development Board (SSWDB) presented. The SSWDB helps job seekers find jobs. They work to understand the need for employees of businesses and try to match job seekers with job opportunities. They also provide training for job seekers. Contact Dean Rizzo. Introduction to Ms. Amanda Chisholm, Vice President, Real Estate Services, Mass Development: MassDevelopment works with municipal officials, planners, local stakeholders, and others to provide technical assistance. Through their in-house expertise and contacts with “house doctor” consultants, their real estate services team can help municipalities and other public entities address their planning and development projects quickly and efficiently. New Business: Commercial Lending Management Development Program 2017 Ricciardi College of Business, Bridgewater State University (BSU). Ms. Mary Waldron of BSU passed out a flyer describing this new program being offered by BSU. For program dates and additional info go to bridgew.edu/banking.

- Metro South Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Business Expo, November 15, 2017, Massasoit Conference Center.
- Citizen Planner Training Collaborative (CPTC) Fall 2017 Workshops: CPTC will have 24 classes for citizen planners across the state this fall including a class at OCPC on November 14. For more info and to register online go to masscptc.org.
